These videos seem to be more like little tv shows. They tell a continuous story that keeps you watching. However, I believe that some videos that tell only one story are little cinema. The article shows how you can now download movies off of certain websites for a fee. Perhaps these videos can one day be on these websites and earn a profit for their work. Then these little known producers can become famous for their work.
Fred- I agree, but there are television shows that tell only one story; episodes that don't relate to one another. And their are movies that have other movies that relate.
John- Yea, but the reason why some movies have other related to each other is the topic at large is so popular and so entertaining that it just makes sense to use it. Also a lot of these websites aren't free. Some make you pay a monthly fee.
Elaina- You can also mention that some of these videos do not follow the storyline. If they do, they are hard to understand the connection.
Jen- "Videos that only tell one story are little cinema." Does this mean that there are not television shows with only one story line?

Someone conveys their expertise or authority on a subject through information. Usually, this person will not only cite facts, they will also provide proof to back up their facts.
Generation Now
Our generation's name could be called generation now. A lot of the technological developments that are used by us help us to get things now. This is perhaps the first generation with cell phones and laptops available to most everybody. Cellphones allow you to talk to anybody at anytime, right now. Information is right at your fingertips via the internet and we communicate via email, enabling us to talk to anybody now.

Lonely Girl Synopsis
First, Bree introduces herself. We meet Daniel next, and we are told he doesn't like the camera. The issue of whether or not they like each other is raised and they have a fight about that. They make up and go hiking after her dad allows her to go. Daniel and Bree's dad have a talk about him going to their religious summer camp. Bree tries to find out what they talked about but Daniel would not tell her. In this episode we see a picture of Allister Creilly, who seems like he may become important to the story. Daniel goes to Bree's play and she goes to his party. Before this we learn that Bree has been chosen for a religious ceremony. We also learn she is very smart and loves stars.

The lonely girl series could be appealing to some because the story reminds you of a soap opera. If you watch one episode, you may want to keep watching to find out what happens. It doesn't hurt that Bree is a cute, 16-17 year old girl, some people may start liking the show because of her appeal.
What is YouTube saying?
I believe people are simply expressing opinions. Some may be trying to entertain others or tell a story. People who post on YouTube want to be heard and this is their outlet.
I dont believe YouTube can change the world. I believe it is simply a form of entertainment. We have come a long way technologically in the past 100 years, but websites such as YouTube may end up being simply a miniscule piece of a much larger picture. Im not sure how borders and detachment have been broken down by a bunch of people posting videos online. No matter how far we have come, there will always be new borders created.

Irony

The definition of irony is the use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning. The example in the picture is of situational irony. The two different signs on the stores compliment each other. The Wild Ducks Unlimited sign is next to the Wings Etc. sign. This is ironic because the Wings store sells food that is made from birds. The duck store is next door, perhaps thats where the wings come from. The two stores next to each other are ironic.

The author Todd Samuel Pressner states, "Both men were working in the already established generic form of the travel narrative, combining elements of a rich historical tradition of discovery with their subjective experiences of mobility on foot and by ship" (521).
Thomas Samuel Pressner states that Heine and Hegel were already working in the genre of the travel story, using the aspects of discovery through history along with their own discoveries on their journeys by land and by sea (521).
